James Vargo 80 of Streetsboro since 1962 went HOME while sleeping very peacefully there at 3:00 AM July 6, 2014. He was born April 21, 1934 to Michael and Angeline Vargo in Jefferson, PA. He graduated from Cumberland Twp. High School in 1953, proudly served in US Army during the Korean Conflict. James was married, in a small quiet evening service, to Margaret "Peg" Rudolph on May 17, 1958 at Church of Christ in Paisley, PA. Honored to be Father of 6 children, James Vargo II of Streetsboro, Timothy Vargo of Ravenna, Kara Vargo of Ravenna, Tara Vargo of Streetsboro, and Jill (1962-1975) and Kristopher (1986-1995) Vargo, already waiting for him at HOME. He enjoyed 3 grandchildren, Leeanne Vargo, Timothy Vargo, and James Vargo. Happily retired after working 35 years at Ford Stamping Plant, Walton Hills, Ohio in May 1991. Enjoyed living Christian Life, his family, playing button box accordion music, old cars, gardening, making new friends from other places and his toy poodles, Lucy and Jenny. In Lieu of flowers Jim would be greatly honored to have anyone who wishes to make a donation to Mid-Western Children's Home, PO Box 48, Pleasant Plain, OH 45162 or Wounded Warriors Project. A Memorial Service honoring Jim's life will be held at 2:00 PM July 15, 2014 at the Church of Christ, 1386 Russell Drive, Streetsboro, OH 44241, with Ralph Price officiating. A private burial was held in Northlawn Memorial Gardens, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. Arrangements and Cremation was handled by Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel.
