Jan (Mohnkern) Monaco

Jan Monaco, 63 of Ravenna, passed away suddenly on Tuesday September 24, 2019 at UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna.  On September  28, 1955 Jan was born in Oil City, Pennsylvania to the late John and Jane (Rhoades)  Mohnkern.  Jan has lived in Ravenna the past 40 years.  She loved  quilting, sewing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She was very proud to have  25 years  of sobriety with AA.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son Johnny and grandson Jon.  Survivors include her husband Jerry Monaco whom she married September 28, 1999, her children Scott (Jennifer Newpher) Arnold, Jaime (Jason) Walton, Stayc (Jeremy) Musch, Brenda Roseling, 13 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and siblings Pat (Chet) Ford, Michelle Edmiston and Russ Mohnkern.  At her request, cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of life service  for Jan will be held  1 :00 PM Saturday September 28, 2019 at her daughters residence at 8616 Newton Falls Rd/ Ravenna, Ohio 44266.  Condolences and memories of Jan may be shared with her family and friends at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
