Janet L. (Pollock) Cameron

Janet L. Cameron,  76  of Atwater, passed away Tuesday April 17, 2018 at UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna with her family by her side.  She was born July 30, 1941 in Pitt Gas, PA to the late Lewis and Mary Agatha (Haley) Pollock.  Mrs. Cameron had retired from the US Postal Service and had also worked for the Save 4 Store in Red Fox for over 30 years.  She is survived by her children John J. Cameron, Mary Ann (Shake) Winters, her grandchildren Chuck (Rebecca Misock) Cameron, Nichole Cameron, Heather Birch, Benjamin Winters, Lewis (Adrienne) Winters, 15 great grandchildren and her beloved feline friend Jessee.  She was blessed for almost 50 years to have wonderful neighbors in James and Mae Conner.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Cameron in 1986 and her brother John Pollock.  Memorial calling hours will be from 12 Noon Saturday April 21, 2018 until time of memorial services at 1:00 PM  at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel.  She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Riverside Cemetery Shalersville, Ohio.  The family asks that in lieu of flowers that donations please be made to Kent Social Services in Janet's name.   Condolences and memories of Janet may be shared with her family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
