Janet Ann (Price) Svoboda

Janet Ann Svoboda 81 of Rootstown passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 at the Emeritus of Ravenna. She was born August 22, 1932 in Ravenna to the late Earl "Chip" and Francis (Halstead) Price. She worked for the Portage County Clerk of Courts and was a School Nurse's Aid.  Janet was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker with a passion for mowing the lawn. Survivors include her loving husband, Douglas R. Svoboda whom she married November 1, 1952, sons, Russell of Manchester, CT, Steven of El Paso, TX, Clinton "Tom" of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, her sister, Diana Lowe of W. Palm Beach, FL, 6 grandchildren,  7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded by a brother, George E. Price. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Calling hours will be held from 3 - 5 PM Friday, March 7, 2014 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral  Home Ravenna Chapel. A private burial will be in Grandview Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to The Vasculitis Foundation, PO Box 28660, Kansas City, MO 64188 in Janet's name.
