Jean "Nick" Robert Henzel

Jean “Nick” Robert Henzel 83 of Streetsboro was called home to the Lord on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 8, 1938 in Cleveland, Ohio to John and Genevieve (Owens) Henzel. He was a proud graduate of Cathedral Latin High School. Jean was the owner of Valley View Lake Resort in Streetsboro. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Sally (Stettin) Henzel, children Marcella (Fred) Kovacs, Jean (Jenny) Henzel, and Catherine (Thomas) Wasserbauer, dearest nephew Keith (Lori) Obly, five grandchildren JR, Justin, Thomas, Emily & Thomas Chen, two great-grandchildren Layken & Tristin, sister Patricia Sloan & many nephews and nieces. He is reunited in God’s presence with his brother John, granddaughter Margaret, and many loving family members. Nick was totally devoted to his family and active with the Streetsboro Optimist Club, Chamber of Commerce, Planning Committee, Ohio Campground Owners Assoc., and many other organizations. He will be remembered by his dry sense of humor, dedication to God and family, and his love for caring for his beautiful property—where a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
