Jeanette (Vanbuskirk) Renner

Jeanette Renner 84 of North Benton, formerly of Ravenna, died Sunday, April 22, 2012. She was born August 24, 1927 in Akron, OH to George and Dorothy (McKitrick) VanBuskirk. Jeanette had been a cook at Head Start, was involved in the Girl Scouts and the PTA. Survivors include her daughters Regina (Edward) Eckert of Springfield, OH and Karen (David) Archibald of Westerville, OH, sons Walter (Cathy) Renner, Jr. of Ravenna, Tom (Jan) Renner of Stow and James (Darla) Renner of North Benton, 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, sisters Kate Henry, Maxine Smith, Nancy Mehler, Joann Thompson, Patricia Collopy and Susan Elzholz and brothers George, Chuck, James, Thomas, Gerald and Donald VanBuskirk. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter D. Renner in 2000 and sisters Rith McClelland, Mary Scheer, Peg Leake and Lois Ostlind. Calling hours will be from 6 - 8 PM Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 26, 2012 at the funeral home with Rev. Katie Osier officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park In Ravenna. The family request memorials to the Salvation Army.
