Jeny Dorothy Lersch, 91, of Streetsboro, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016. Born October 18, 1924 in Cleveland, she was the daughter of the late John and Konstantina Nowakowski. She was the wife of the late Arthur Lersch and they were married February 9, 1952. Jeny worked as a telephone operator and after marriage, a homemaker. She also worked as a cashier at the Sparkle Grocery Store in Streetsboro for many years. The annual July 4th family reunions, holidays in Shaker Heights with the Luttons and the family Polish weddings were sources of pleasure and fond memories.
Survivors: daughters, Karen, wife of Harvey Turjan of Middlesex PA and Lauren, wife of Keith Moeltner of Orefield PA; son, Arthur and wife Angela Lersch of Merrill, WI; brother, Jerome Nowakowski of Cleveland. There are 5 grandchildren: Christopher, Nicholas, Melanie, Daniel and Isaac. She was predeceased by 9 brothers and sisters.
Services: A memorial mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 10:00 am at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 8894 St. Rt. 14, Streetsboro. Internment will occur at 1:45 pm at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Rittman, Ohio.
