Jerry D. Higgins

Jerry D. Higgins, 80, of Streetsboro, passed away Tuesday March 25, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family.  On December 27, 1944, Jerry was born in Harlan County, Kentucky to the late Albert C. and Mildred L. (Ramsey) Higgins.  He has lived in Streetsboro since 1970 and was a retired insurance agent working for Prudential.  He loved being outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, golfing and was big Kentucky basketball fan as well as a big Ohio State and Cleveland Browns football fan.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Buell Higgins, Wilma Powell and Lillian Lewis.  Those left to cherish his memory, are his wife of 57 years, Mary A. (Merk) Higgins, whom he married April 15, 1967, his daughters Theresa Higgins, Loretta Higgins, his grandchildren Lillian Ruth Higgins, Dylan Jerry Higgins, his siblings Bonnie Osborne, Bobbie Bricker, Sherrie Pettyjohn, Clayton Higgins and many cherished nieces and nephews.  In honoring his wishes, cremation has taken  place and memorial services will be held 11:00 AM  Saturday June 21, 2025 at St. Joan of Arc Church Streetsboro, Ohio.  Condolences and memories may be shared with his family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
