Jerry J. Rogers

Jerry J. Rogers, 73, of Ravenna passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at the Avenue at Aurora. He was born December 30, 1945 in Clarksburg, WV to James M. and Martha (O'Neil) Rogers. Jerry was a member of the First Christian Church in Ravenna and the Ravenna Masonic Lodge Unity #12. He worked as a machinist and quality control supervisor for Euclid Incorporated and Mercury Plastics. Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years Debora (Kent), and children Jerry (Mindy) Rogers, Jason (Ann) Rogers, Julia (Ryan) Smerkar and Robert (Brittany) Rogers.  He also leaves behind his five grandchildren, Zachary, Gwendolyn, Elissa, Madelyn, and Benjamin, and his sister Lee Weekly. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Jimmy, Jack, and Carolyn Elder. Memorial calling hours will be from 11 AM until time of Masonic service at 12:45 PM and funeral services at 1 PM Friday, July 19, 2019 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Reverend Laurie Metzko will officiate. Private burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Heart Association, P.O.
