Jimmie C. Skinner

Jimmie C. Skinner 68 of Shalersville passed away Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Robinson Memorial Hospital . He was born August 6, 1941 in Orlando, WV to the late Earse and Clara ( McCauley ) Skinner.  Jimmie served with the US Army, retired from Chrysler Twinsburg plant after 30 years as an Automation Tech., and was very instrumental in organizing, MC and Band Coordinator for the Bluegrass Junction in Shalersville. Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, married February 18, 1965, Fonda (Nicholson) Skinner, daughter Randi Skinner, the children of his heart, Keith and Stephanie Olesh, sisters, Veda (Bud) Cantrell of Jane Lew, WV, Rena (Richard) Posey of Orlando, WV, Gae (Clarron) Lulader of Windham, OH, brother, Ervin (Madeline) Skinner of Buckhannon, WV, and several nieces and nephews . Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Ruth Barlett, brothers, Ray, Francis and Fay Skinner. Calling hours will be held from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Thursday, May 27, 2010 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.  Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, May 28, 2010 with Pastor Mitch Meadors officiating. .Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery Shalersville following the service. The family would like to say a special "Thank You" for the love, support, and help from Paul & Juanita Wagner , Mark Corey , and Audrey & Cindy Olesh; also many other people who's help and kindness from the neighborhood and bluegrass community has been impossible to name them all.  We've been truly blessed for all the people we met over the years.
