Jimmy D. Stacy, 76, of Ravenna, passed away Saturday March 7, 2026 at University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. On July 9, 1949, he was born in Dwarf, Kentucky to the late Robert Lee and Louvernia (Noble) Stacy. Mr. Stacy has lived in Ravenna most of his life and was a member of First Freedom Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in Vietnam and had retired from the Chrysler Corp in Twinsburg after 30 years of service. Jim was an avid hunter in his younger years. He enjoyed hunting with his father in law and friends. Jim was definitely a car guy-specifically DODGE’s, he enjoyed working on cars with his boys!! In his past time he loved to garden, and he also loved sitting by the fire with his best buddies Rich and Chuck!! Most of all, Jim loved Jesus and spending his time with his wife, kids and the grandkids he loved so much, they would light up his life just walking through the door!! In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his great grandchildren James and Charlie and siblings Noah Stacy, Helen Combs and Mary Elswick. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Janice F. (Montgomery) Stacy, whom he married August 24, 1985, his children Jason Garvin, Lambranee Jacobs, James Stacy, Kelly English, Robert Stacy, his grandchildren Taylor, Arian, Trey, Michael, Regan, Allissia, Jaxon, his great grandchildren Kyrah, Kai'ren, Londyn and his siblings Dicy Stacy, Silas Stacy, Billy Stacy, Herb Stacy, Charlie Stacy, Arlie Stacy and Larry Stacy. Calling hours will be 6 to 8 PM On Thursday March 19, 2026 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel, where funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday March 20, 2026. Burial with military honors will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio. Please visit www.sscfuneralhomes.com to offer a condolence, share a memory or light a candle.
