Joan P. (Moore) Haney

Joan P. Haney 60 of Rootstown, passed away Monday May 6, 2013 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio.  She was born March 18, 1953 in Ravenna, Ohio to Earl Moore and Carol (English) Patch.  Mrs. Haney had worked for the Portage County Jobs and Family  Services for over 30 years as a case worker.  She was a member of the Rootstown United Methodist, where she was involved with many activities.  She was preceded in death by her father Earl Moore and her sister Deborah Short.  Survivors include her husband of 33 years Michael Haney, Sr., her mother and stepfather Carol (Thomas) Patch of  Ravenna , her children Rebecca (Robert) Dunn of Palmyra, Jason (Jessica) Haney of Oceanside, California, Michael (Jennifer) Haney, Jr.  of Rootstown, Mathew Haney  of New Albany, Ohio,  nine wonderful grandchildren and sisters Barbara (Norman) Rankin of Brimfield, Donna (Darrell) Garrison of Manning, South Carolina.  Calling hours will be  Wednesday May 8, 2013 from 11:00 AM until time of funeral services at 12 PM at the Rootstown United Methodist Church.  Inurnment will follow in Homeland Cemetery Roostown, Ohio.  The family asks that memorials may be made to the Robinson Memorial Hospice.
