John E. Andrews, Sr. 76 of Mantua died Thursday, March 17, 2016. He was born October 22, 1939 in Penn Yan, NY to Charles and Mildred (Kensen) Andrews. John was a Truck Driver for Aurora Trucking, was formerly of Ravenna and has lived in Mantua for 5 years. Survivors include his wife of 35 years Carol (Albecker), daughters Debra (Tommy) Radney of Georgia and Cathy Andrews of Ravenna, sons John E. Andrews, Jr. of Alliance, Michael Andrews of Pennsylvania and Jeff Coffin of New York, step daughters Marie Howes of Paris, Tammy Myers and Lisa Myers both of Mantua, 21 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, sisters Lila Randal and April VanDoosen both of New York and brothers Ronald, David and Nelson Andrews all of New York. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Beth Backus, Hazel Garrett and Mabel Bishop and a brother Art Andrews. Calling hours will be from 2 PM until time of services at 4 PM on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Reverend William Snyder will officiate. Cremation will follow the service.
