John M. Dalaski

John M. Dalaski, age 74, of Hudson passed away on January 6, 2017. John was born on February 19, 1942 in Akron, Ohio to the late Joseph and Agatha Dalaski. John served his country in the Navy, from 1960-1963 on board the USS RK Huntington, and later worked as a Police Officer and Detective for the Twinsburg Police Department, until he retired in 1993. John was a member of the FOP, the Macedonia and Streetsboro VFW & American Legion, Ravenna Moose #1234, and the Ravenna Eagles. In addition to being an active member in many clubs, he was also an avid hunter and fisher man. John was preceded in death by his sister, Joanne Ford. He is survived by his daughters, Michelle (Nick) Woffenden of Massachusetts and Melanie (Dan) Westcott of Arizona, and by his sweetheart Connie Gastrock of Ravenna, Ohio. His memory is also cherished by his 4 grandchildren; Daniel, Danielle, Kassy, Alexis, and by his 4 great-grandchildren; Sophia, Robert, Daniel, and Charlotte. John will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home. A private service has taken place.
