John Dostal Jr.

John Dostal, Jr. 74 of Streetsboro passed away Tuesday, February 29, 2012 at Robinson Memorial Hospital.  He was born August 8, 1937 to the late John Sr., and Josephine Dostal.  He leaves behind his beloved wife of 23 years Lynne Dostal, sons Gregory (Angela) Dostal, David (Bridget) Dostal, two step-sons, 5 step-daughters, 29 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and tow sisters. John was a graduate of Garfield Heights High School, and attended Kent State. He served in the US Army and was assigned to US Forces in Germany.  He was a retired Railroad Engineer with Erie & Conrail for 43 years. He and Lynne are members of the D.T.J. a Czech club in Chagrin Falls where the gymed every Tuesday morning  with wonderful friends.  Besides his parents he was preceded in death by infant son Noah Dostal and former wife Sally Dostal.  Cremation has taken place and there will be no calling hours.  A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, April 16, 2012 at St. Joan of Arc Church Streetssboro with Father Pat Ferraro officiating.  The Family extends there many Thanks to Hospice and the doctors, nurses, and staff of Robinson Memorial Hospital for the wonderful care to John and to his loved ones. Memorials can be sent to Hospice at Robinson Memorial Hospital or to St. Joan of Arc Parish in Streetsboro. Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
