John R Fiscus

John R. Fiscus, 87 of Ravenna, Ohio passed away Wednesday July 5, 2023, peacefully at his home.  On May 8, 1936, John was born in Sigel, PA to the late Chester and Frances (Smith) Fiscus.  He has lived in Ravenna the past seven years and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and spending time on the family farm back in PA.  John retired in 1996 from Republic/LTV Steel in Warren, Ohio.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Nancy Fiscus, his fiancé Millie Huk, his second wife Betty Fiscus, son Ricky Fiscus and siblings Katheryn Fiscus, Denny Fiscus and Carlie Confer.  Survivors include his wife Wilma J. Hurst-Fiscus whom he married April 16, 2016, his children Ted (Mara) Fiscus, Amanda (Mike) Nuzzi, Kandi (Chad) Schultz, his grandchildren Jeramy Fiscus, John Fiscus, Andrew Nuzzi, Kyle Fiscus, Mariah Nuzzi (fiance' Ray Kaso),  Kristian Fiscus, Chloe Schultz, Carson Schultz, his daughter in law Marlene (Jon) Stockdale. Also surviving are his step children Gary (Cathy) Hurst, Ron Hurst, Sandra (Joe Corbin) Hurst,  David Caruthers, Timothy Caruthers, Billie Kaye (Ed) Dundon and siblings Connie (Bill) Ingram, Lanny (Connie) Fiscus, Don (Janet) Fiscus, Bob (Jane) Fiscus, Marcie (Paul) Neill and many nieces and nephews.  Calling hours will be Monday, July 10, 2023 from 5:00 PM until time of the 6:00 PM Funeral service at Bethel Baptist Church in Ravenna, Ohio with Pastor David Ballert officiating and funeral services will be 12:00 PM,  Tuesday,  July 11, 2023 at the Church of Christ Brookville, PA with burial to follow in Zion Methodist Church Cemetery in Brookville, PA.  Condolences and memories of John may be shared with his family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
