John H. "Jack" Evans

John H. "Jack" Evans, 82 of Streetsboro, passed away Sunday October 15, 2023 at his home.  On September 21, 1941, he was born to he late James Paul Evans and Catherine Ann (Soeder) Ambrose.  Jack has lived in Streetsboro the past 47 years and retired from American Spring and Wire in Cleveland, where he worked as a machine operator.  He was a proud veteran of the US Marines.  Jack loved the outdoors, especially fishing and camping, loved going to garage sales and animals especially his dogs and also giving treats to the neighbors dogs, Gus and Olive.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother Bernice Evans and sisters Diane and Barbie.  Survivors include his wife of 58 years, H. Judy (Gregg) Evans, whom he married 10/15/1965, his daughter Becky McIntyre, grandson Rich (Erica) McIntyre whom Jack and Judy raised like a son, great grandchildren Gavin, Lincoln, Oliver and sisters Cathy, Darlene, Gloria, Judy and Debbie.  Graveside services with military honors will be 11:00 AM Saturday October 28, 2023 at Evergreen Cemetery Streetsboro, Ohio .  The family would like to the thank the Streetsboro fire department for always helping out and ask the in lieu of flowers memorial donations, please be made to the Portage County APL.  Condolences and memories of Jack may be shared with his family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
