John M. Jay Chercourt

John M. "Jay" Chercourt51 of Ravenna, formerly of Streetsboro, died Monday, October 15, 2012. He was born July 29, 1961 in Garfield Heights to Gerald E. and Mary Anne C. (Hrovat) Chercourt. John was lighthearted and fun  loving. He attended Kent Roosevelt High School, was an avid bowler, loved his Harley and traveling to Florida. John spent the last decade as a sports offical in Portage County for various sporting events. Survivors include his wife of 22 years Linda (Teece), daughters Erika (Matt Mikula) Chercourt of Boardman, Nikki (Phillip) Buchmann of TN and Taylor Chercourt of Ravenna, sisters Leann (Mark) Smith of Austintown and Michelle Guidone of Plymouth, WI, brother Michael (Cathy) Chercourt of Winsboro, TX, stepfather Glenn (Wilma) White of Leesburg, TX and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Gerald E. Chercourt, mother Mary Anne White and brother Paul White. Calling hours will be from 4:00 PM to time of services at 7:30 PM Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral
