John B. "Johnny" Daniels

John B. Daniels, 78 of Shalersville, passed away Friday, February 14, 2025 at his residence surrounded by his family. Johnny was born July 5, 1946 in Paint Creek, West Virginia to his late parents Buddy Daniels and Louella Idell (Smith) Cales. He was a proud service member of the United States Army, retired from being a truck driver and was a member of the Gold Prospectors Association. Johnny also enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and gold mining. In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou Daniels whom passed July 8, 2009, his siblings Bobby Daniels, Mike Daniels, Lynn Kidd, Jeff and Sherry Cales, Dirk and Sherry Cales and Terry Cales. He is survived by his children John (Jackie) Daniels, Steve Daniels, Benjamin Daniels, Jake (Amanda) Daniels, Nathan (Ilene) Daniels and Nick (Melanie) Daniels, 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, siblings Mark Cales, Suzie (Ricky) Swartz, and Melvin (June) Daniels, caretaker Kevin Grubb and his loving canine companion Jack. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM at the funeral home on Thursday, February 20, 2025. Burial will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville, Ohio.
