John M. Natcher

John M. Natcher 93 a loving and wonderful husband, father and grandfather passed away Wednesday May 23, 2012 at the Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio. He was born June 28, 1918 in Cambra Co., PA to the late William F. and Frances D. (Parrish) Natcher. Mr. Natcher has lived in Ravenna since 1977 and retired in 1985 after 36 years of service from Lamb Electric in Kent. He was a member of the Christian Life Church in Kent and enjoyed woodworking, gardening and fishing. He proudly served his country in WW II with the US Army. Survivors include his wife, whom he married October 6, 1967, Helen (Day) Natcher, his sons John F. (Amy) Natcher of Oklahoma, Jim Natcher of Arizona, Darrell Paddock of Ravenna, his daughters Trudi (Dale) Plumb of Ravenna and Marlene (Eugene) Bolden of Tennessee, 17 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and sister Rita Noel of PA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Peter Natcher and sisters Marie Vock, Catherine Edwards and Rose Natcher. Calling hours will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Friday May 25, 2012 at Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel where funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday May 26, 2012 with Pastor Tom Poulin and Pastor Sam Goebel officiating. Burial will follow with military honors by the Ravenna VFW Post 1055 and US Army in Grandview Memorial Park Ravenna, Ohio. Memorials may be made to RMH Hospice and VNA or the Christian Life Church Kent, Ohio.
