John Rubish, Jr.

John Rubish, Jr., 88, of Ravenna, passed away Friday May 29, 2026 at his home with his family by his side. He was born June 13, 1937 in Colver, PA to the late John and Mary (Makosy) Rubish, Sr. Mr. Rubish has lived in Ravenna the past 25 years and was formerly of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. He was a veteran of the US Army, a member of St. Patrick's Church in Kent and was retired from the Chrysler Corp. in Twinsburg. Survivors include his wife of almost 60 years Judith Ann (Mastrine) Rubish, his children John Charles Rubish, James (Cherie) Rubish, Jennifer (Jason) Daetwyler, his grandchildren James Patrick Rubish, Kristian Daetwyler Donovan Daetwyler, William Daetwyler, Maci Horack and siblings George Rubish and Mary Ann Adams. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother James Rubish. Graveside services will be 10:00 Am Friday June 5, 2026 at Homeland Cemetery Rootstown, Ohio.
