John Lewis Strickland 67 of Ravenna passed away at his home Tuesday, November 5, 2013 with his family at his side. He was born March 31, 1946 in Coalwood, WV to the late Clarence and Myrtle (Blaylock) Strickland. He was owner of the S & C Salvage in Ravenna. John is survived by his loving wife Angela (Mozer) Strickland whom he married December 20, 1969, his daughters, Annette (Terry) Logan of Ravenna Krystal Strickland of Ravenna, son, Johnathon (Jessika Marton) Strickland of Ravenna, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sisters, Lexie Rose of Cleveland, Marie Pannel, Nellie Mawalls both of WV, Alice Blankenship of VA, daughter-in-law, Doreen Strickland. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Willie Strickland, sisters, Shirley Asbury, and a brother, Charles Phillips. Cremation has taken place. A Special Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel is handling the arrangements.
