John Martin Ward

John Martin Ward 55 of Ravenna passed away Friday, November 25, 2016 after a yearlong battle with cancer. He was born October 10, 1961 in Ravenna to Robert and Corinne (Kesser) Ward. John was an avid outdoorsman and loved camping, animals and music. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his father Robert, sister Linda S. Renner, infant brother Stephen and Aunt Gail Hart. Survivors include his mother Corinne Neal of Rootstown, sisters Cindy (Rick) Hubbard of Ravenna and Jennifer Deluke of Ravenna, a brother Matt Ward of Rootstown, Uncle Larry Ward of Ravenna, nieces Keri Roosa of Ravenna, Joline (Joe) Gadoua of Akron, nephews Kyle (Rachael) McDaniels of Massillon, Kaleb Renner of N. Benton, 6 grand nephews and nieces , many cousins and beloved companion Terry Nadeau. At John's request, there will be no calling hours or services, cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
