John F York

John F. York, 75 of Twinsburg passed away Monday February 24, 2020 at the Kensington Care Center in Aurora, Ohio.  On July 29, 1944 he was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the late John A. and Nettie (Vacha) York.  Mr. York has lived in Twinsburg since 1980 and was a self employed painter.  He was a former member of the Cleveland Baptist Church, enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing and his pride and joy were his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  In addition to his parents, Mr. York was preceded in death by his wife Margaret H. York.  Survivors include his children, Deborah (Jim) Poteet, Robert (Laura) York, Angela (Don) Berg, Heather (James) Cunningham, 19 grandchildren, five great grandchildren and his sister Loretta (Richard) Wintucky.  In honoring John's request, cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at his son's church First Baptist Church in Streetsboro on Monday March 2, 2020 at 7:00 PM.  Condolences and  memories  of John may be shared with his family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
