Johnathan Michael McClain walked and talked for the first time when he answered God’s call to “Come Home”. Jonathan was welcomed by his parents with open arms as he entered the Gates of Heaven on August 31, 2016. Although his disability made him appear frail, he possessed the strength and ability to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges for 40 years. His gentle smile and contagious laughter melted the hearts of those around him and though he never spoke a word, his voice and thoughts could always be heard. Johnathan leaves behind many wonderful caregivers who provided love and support that enhanced his quality of life. All of these special people, too numerous to mention, provided Johnathan with love and dignity throughout his life. Our sincere gratitude goes out to the staff at Independence Lake Group Home. Preceded in death by his loving parents; Don and Janice McClain, Jonathan is survived by his sister Donnita Mosley (Roy) and brothers, David McClain (Mary) and Don McClain II. A private burial will be held by his siblings at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery where he will be reunited with his parents.
