Johnnie Machisko, 92, of Ravenna passed away Saturday February 25, 2017 at Sunrise of Cuyahoga Falls. He was born June 10, 1924 in Perryopolis, PA to the late John and Mary (Kushner) Machisko. Mr. Machisko has lived in Ravenna most of his life and retired in 1981 from the Ford Motor Company in Walton Hills. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving his country in WW II. He was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church in Ravenna and loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and farming. Survivors include his wife Irene (Hausch) Machisko whom he married July 19, 1947, his children Lynn Heisler and her husband Yank of Bonita Springs, Florida, John Machisko and his wife Francine of Johns Creek, GA, Dave Machisko and his wife Kathleen of St. Lois, MO, grandchildren Andrew (Joan) Heisler, Kevin (Kaitlin) Heisler, Jennifer (Kyle) Bernholz, Jeffery (Abbey) Heisler, Hannah Machisko, Haley Machisko, great grandchildren Caroline Bernholz, Cameron Bernholz, Natalie Heisler and his sister Julie Tuttle of Kent. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Marie Miazga, Anna Bobbs, Pauline Reed and Helen Dubinsky. Calling hours will be Wednesday March 1, 2017 from 6-8 PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday March 2, 2017 at Grace Episcopal in Ravenna with Rev. Carol Evans officiating . Committal services with military honors by the US Navy and Ravenna VFW Post 1055 will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio.
