Joseph N. Englehart, Jr. 88 of Edinburg, passed away Tuesday July 2, 2013 at his residence. He was born December 9, 1924 in Akron, Ohio to the late Joseph and Mary (Merzweiler) Englehart, Sr. Mr. Englehart has lived in Edinburg since 1993 and was formerly of Randolph. He worked 37 years for Mechanical Mold and then 12 years for Teledyne Monarch Rubber where he retired in 1991. He was a veteran of the US Army serving in WW II, was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna, the Catholic War Vets at St. Joseph Church in Randolph, the Young at Heart group and New Life Choir at Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna , where he sang for 17 years. Survivors include his wife Mary (Strahler ) whom he married September 28, 1957, his children William (Penny) Englehart of Edinburg, Joseph (Cindi) Englehart, III of Mantua, Janice Englehart of Edinburg, Anne (Eric) Luli of Randolph, Joyce (Charlie) Cross of Tallmadge, Donna (Andrew) Bowers of Shalersville and 17 grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Father William Englehart and sisters Margaret Kline and Sarah Ann Englehart. Calling hours will be 5-8 PM Friday July 5, 2013 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Saturday July 6, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Church Ravenna, Ohio. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery Randolph, Ohio. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Immaculate Conception Church Ravenna, Ohio.
