Joseph J Mercury 76 of Ravenna passed away at his home Thursday, December 20, 2012. He was born April 13, 1936 in Ravenna to the late Anthony and Frances (Pizzute) Mercury. Joe enjoyed going to casino's and bowling. He worked for Robinson Memorial Hospital in the laundry Dept. for 13 years, and retired from A.C. Williams. Survivors include his loving wife Emily M. (Hall) Mercury whom he married February 9, 1963, his daughters, Patricia Hall of Akron, Jo Ann (Hector) Sanchez of Diamond, Kathy Mercury of Ravenna, 6 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, sisters, Dolores Justice of Ravenna, Mary Bissler of Stow, brothers, Jimmy Mercury of Kent, and Tony (Bev) Mercury of Tallmadge. Cremation has taken place. The family would like you to come for a memorial dinner to honor Joes memory, which will be held at his daughters residents, 608 Page Street Apt # 1, Ravenna, Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 4 PM. The Family would like to Thank all the nurses and staff from Robinson Hospice. Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home were entrusted to handle the arrangements.
