Joseph R. Stutzman

Joseph R. Stutzman, 70 of Streetsboro, passed away two days before his 71st birthday on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at his home surrounded by family and friends. On January 22, 1953, he was born to Robert P. and Lela (Schweitzer) Stutzman in Bedford, Ohio.  Mr. Stutzman has lived in Streetsboro the past 46 years and had grown up in Aurora, Ohio.  He was the owner and operator of Joseph R. Stutzman Builders, retiring in 2021 after 50 years of building.  He was a lifelong Aurora Mennonite Church member and enjoyed woodworking, motorsports and truck pulling.  One of the things he loved the most was traveling with his wife Mary in their 1984 MCI Bus that he fully converted to a beautiful motor home.  Preceding him in death was his father Robert P. Stutzman, and brother Mervin Stutzman.  Survivors include his wife of 44 years Mary (Labadie) Stutzman whom he married May 12, 1979, his mother Lela Stutzman, his daughters Natalie Stutzman, Elizabeth (Dustin) Buleski, Katherine (Phillip) Anders, his  grandchildren Brock, Logan and Joseph Phillips, and Alexander, Lela and Andrew Buleski , brother Donald (June) Stutzman.  Friends may call on Thursday January 25, 2024 from 5-8 PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel.  Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday January 26, 2024 at the Aurora Mennonite Church with burial to follow in the Aurora Mennonite Church Cemetery.  Condolences and memories of Joe may be shared with his family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
