Joseph A. Zayak, Jr.

Jospeh A. Zayak, Jr. 77, of Ravenna, passed away suddenly on Sunday June 3, 2017 at his residence. He was born April 20, 1940 in harrisburg, PA to the late Joseph A. and Lillian (Huber) Zayak, Sr. Joe has lived in Ravenna most of his life and was a retired bricklayer working for Local 368 out of Akron. He attended Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna and was a veteran of the US Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Jo Tava on November 15, 2016, his son Robert and his brother Bill Zayak. Survivors include his children Buddy Zayak, Danny (Elizabeth) Hughes, Becky Kendrick, Nancy (Carl) Cuya, Stephanie (Jim) Tarr, 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and his brother Jim (Jan) Zayak. At his request cremation has taken place. Memorial calling hours will be Thursday June 8, 2018 from 12 Noon until time of the memorial service at 1:00 PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel.
