Judith D. (Sowers) Hoskin

Judith D. Hoskin 67 of Ravenna, formerly of Rootstown died suddenly Friday, July 2, 2010. She was born August 5, 1942 in Harrison County, WV to the late Elwood M. and Mary E. (Wilmoth) Sowers . A member of the Edinburg United Church and the O.E.S. Chapter #46 in Ravenna, she had worked as a bus driver for the Rootstown School System for 28 years before retiring in 2004. Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Roy C. Hoskin, daughters Shelley (Michael) Baka of Pahrump, Nevada , Vonda (Jeffrey) Sams of Brimfield , Kelley (Richard) Miller of Edinburg and Bethany (David) Thomas of Ravenna, sons Scott Satterfield of Heath, OH, David (Vicki) Hoskin of Garrettsville and Douglas (Gayle) Hoskin of Kent, 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, brother Melvin M. Sowers of WV and sister-in-law Marilyn (John) Livezey of Ravenna. She was preceded in death by her parents and a great granddaughter. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Edinburg United Church with a memorial service to follow. Reverend Glenn Shedlock will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to Edinburg United Church, 4081 Rock Spring Road, Ravenna, Ohio 44266 .
