June Marie (Bedard) Kerrigan

June Marie (Bedard) Kerrigan, age 99, of Ravenna (formerly of Akron) passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026. Born June 7, 1927, in Suffield to Albert and Catherine (Kiefer) Bedard. June met the love of her life, Eugene “Irish” Kerrigan while working at Allstates Freight. The married and were together for 55 years, until his passing in 2010. She was a devoted Catholic and attended St. Matthews in Akron and St. Josephs in Randolph. June loved tending the flowers in her yard, reading, camping, crocheting and spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, LaVonne, Danny, Jim and John. June is survived by her children, Betsy (Bob) Hayward of Springfield, Mike (Yvonne) Kerrigan of Randolph, grandchildren, Michael (Heather) Kerrigan, Melissa (Jake Smith) Kerrigan and great grandchildren, Maddie Kerrigan, Trenton Smith and Oakley Smith. A private family service will be held along with a private inurnment at St. Joseph Cemetery in Randolph. The family asks in lieu of flowers to make a donation in June’s name to one of her favorite charities, the Portage County Animal Protective League.
