June Christine (King) Gibson

Chris Gibson, 73, of Shalersville Township passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 at UH Portage Medical Center with family by her side. She was born November 26, 1948 in Triadelphia, WV to Charles William and Mary Lorene (Emmerson) King. Chris was a member of Calvary Free Will Baptist Church and worked with her husband, Mack, in the Gibson Painting & Contracting company for many years. She spent many years as the most loving caregiver to many residents in and around Ravenna. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and never met a critter she didn't love, welcoming many into her home over the years. Survivors include her children Brook Davis, Celeste (Paul) Miller, Jesse Gibson, Jeremy Martin, Katie (Wayne Zink) Gibson, Amanda (Tony) Rey, Michael (Renee) Martin and Harley (Ruthie) Gibson, many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a brother John (Connie) King. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Elbert Mack Gibson, son Travis Gibson, and brother Chuck King. Calling hours will be from 6 - 8 PM Thursday, January 20, 2022 and from 10 AM until time of funeral service at 11 AM Friday, January 21, 2022 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Rev. Ron Carver and Rev. Mike Martin will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Portage County APL.
