June (Dunbar) Sabin

June Sabin 82 of Ravenna, passed away Saturday September 15, 2012 at Bonnie's Home Health Care in Rootstown. She was born November 11, 1929 in Alliance, Ohio to the late Frank and Viola (Metzler) Dunbar. Mrs. Sabin has lived in Ravenna most of her life and retired from Ravenna City Schools where she worked in the cafeteria.she enjoyed quilting, sewing, crafts, painting , baking, was an avid reader and loved the water, where as she planned many family vacations around the water. She also was on a bowling league in her younger days. Survivors include her children Robert G. (Becky) Sabin of N. Ft Myers, Florida, Pam (Bill) Mitchell of Ravenna, Karen (James) Heisler of Ravenna, her grandchildren Christy, Matt (Alicia) mark Mitchell, Jamie (Iain) Findlay, Adam Heisler, Jason (Marla), Andrew Sabin, her great grandchildren Aubrey Henry, Landon Mitchell, Wyatt Sabin and Aidan Findlay. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 1/2 years Robert Sabin on DEC. 31, 2010 and sister in law and brother in law Betty & Bob Stouffer. Calling hours will be 6-8 PM Wednesday September 19, 2012 at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel, where funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday September 20, 2012. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Reed Memorial Library 167 East Main St. Ravenna, Ohio 44266.
