Karen Sue (George) Bates

Karen Sue Bates, 70, of Ravenna passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2019. Karen was born in Ravenna January 2, 1949 to the late William G. and Alberta L. (Harsch) George.  She was a lifelong resident of Ravenna where she worked as a caregiver at Independence of Portage County.  She was very faithful to God and loved her church, Firm Foundation Ministries Ravenna, Ohio . She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ralph R. Bates, her children Milinda (Fred) Long of Ravenna and Renay (Matt) Wertman of Rootstown, grandchildren William Smith, Amber Wertman and Mason Wertman, brother Kim (Cathy) George of Suffield Twp, niece Theresa (Jason) Prince and great-niece Hope Prince.
