Katherine J (Kovarik) Summy

Katherine (Kathy) J. Summy, 87, of Atwater, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023, at her home with her family by her side.  She was born April 11, 1936 in Rayland, Ohio, to the late Charles and Jenny (Pollack) Kovarik.  Mrs. Summy has lived in Atwater the past 33 years and retired from Robinson Memorial Hospital (UH Portage Medical Center) where she worked in the business office.  In addition to her parents,  she was preceded in death by her brother Lewis Kovarik.  Survivors include her husband of 66 years, William (Bill) T. Summy whom she married April 27, 1957, her sons William (Kathleen) Summy, Ronald (Laura) Summy and two grandchildren, Emily (Enrique) and Jenna (Caleb).  In honoring her request, cremation has taken place.  Condolences and memories of Kathy may be shared with her family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
