Kathryn M. (Long) Matonis

Kathryn M. Long-Matonis 59 of Ravenna passed away Wednesday November 5, 2014 at the Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio.  She was born October 10, 1955 in Ravenna to the late Fred A. and Dorothy M. (Ford) Long.  Kathy  has lived in Ravenna all her life and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ravenna, she had worked at Altercare of Ravenna as a STNA and at Enterprise Plastics in Kent.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Martin Matonis on October  7, 2014 and brother Gary Long.  Survivors include her brothers Vern (Barbara Brown) Long, Fred M. Long , Scott (Julie) Long, her niece and nephew Sarah and Allen Long and sister in law  and close friend Denise Long all of Ravenna.  At her request there will be no calling hours, cremation has taken place.  A celebration  of life service will be held at a later .  Arrangements were entrusted to the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel.  Memorial donations may be made to the Portage County APL.  Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
