Kathryn L. "Kay" Armentrout 92 of Charlestown died Thursday, December 20, 2012. She was born December 31, 1919 in Ravenna, Ohio to Edwin and Gladys (Gast) Porter. Mrs. Armentrout was a lifelong resident of Charlestown and a longtime member of the Charlestown United Methodist Church. She has worked as a bookkeeper for her husband's company Central Plumbing & Supply. Survivors include her sons Richard (Carolyn) of Canton, David (Glenys) of Rootstown and Doug (Debra) of Charlestown, 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Howard L. in 2004, sister Evelyn Lee and brother James Porter. Calling hours will be from 1 - 3 PM Sunday, December 23, 2012 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel with funeral services at 3 PM Sunday with Pastor Brian Oglesbee officiating. Graveside committal service will be held at 11 AM Monday at Charlestown Cemetery. The family requests memorials to the Charlestown United Methodist Church Building Fund, 6408 Rock Spring Road, Ravenna, Ohio 44266.
