Keith Paul Krueger

Keith Paul Krueger, 95, was born in Chicago on June 23, 1931. He has gone to join his beloved wife of 70 years, Mary Eva Krueger, in Heaven.

Keith worked as a construction field engineer, and he and Mary met while working on the Ohio Turnpike. A proud United States Marine, Keith served during the Korean War, where he was awarded three Purple Hearts. He retired early to care for his four granddaughters.

Family meant the world to Keith. He leaves behind his son, Douglas (Laura) Krueger; his daughter, Diane K. Ringer; his granddaughters, Kelley (Jeff) Ringer-Summerfield, Natasha Krueger, Krista Ringer, and Jaclyn (Chad) Burbridge; and many great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Thrane Krueger and Katherine Piha.

To Keith, family was more than a title. It was the people who gathered around him, listened to his stories, and treasured the nuggets of wisdom he so freely shared. We are grateful to everyone who visited and spent time with him, bringing companionship and love into his life.

Our heartfelt thanks go to Kim and Don Stump, Gary Frame, Natasha and Max Krueger, and Janet and Kevin Longanecker for their love and support. We are also deeply grateful to Kelley and Jeff for their continued care and to the caregivers who became family along the way, including Stacy of Senior Helpers; Sara, Taylor, Ashley, Mindy, India and Rev. Jill A. Smith of Buckeye Hospice. Special thanks go to Dr. Paul Fantauzzo, Deb Hahn, and Nick from the Ravenna VA Service team.

Keith leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, service, and family. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He never spoke an unkind word about anyone and will be remembered for his humility and kindness.

The family will hold a private military sendoff. A celebration of life honoring both Mom and Dad will be announced at a later date.
