Kenneth Cooley 63 of Streetsboro passed away Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Robinson Memorial Hospital. He was born March 18, 1947 in Cleveland to the late Ira and Eleanor (Orihill) Cooley. Ken served with the US Army during Vietnam War where he received the Purple Heart, Bronze Star Medal with "V" Device, and 3 Bronze Service Stars. He has lived in Streetsboro since 2001 coming from Solon. He worked for Goodrich Landing Gear, was a member of the Streetsboro VFW, American Legion, Bedford and Streetsboro Eagles. Survivors include his wife Donna Lee (Waskiewicz) Cooley whom he married August 10, 1981, son, Michael (Melissa) Sias of Streetsboro, daughter, Patricia Sias of Maryland, sister, Gwendolyn Fankhouser of CA, brother, Paul Cooley of England, and 8 grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Broski. Calling hours will be held from 2 - 6 PM Sunday, September 19, 2010 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. Streetsboro American Legion will conduct services Sunday prior to the end of calling hours. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, September 20, 2010 with Rev. William Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery Twinsburg. Memorials can be sent to the family c/o Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home.
