Larry J. Beitzel

Larry J. Beitzel, 88, of Aurora (Mantua Twp.), passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. On August 3, 1937, Larry was born in Grantsville, Maryland to the late Curtis A. and Nora A. (Swauger) Beitzel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Donald and Wilbur Beitzel. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Patricia A. (Miller) Beitzel, his children Bryan J. Beitzel, Tamara A. Beitzel-Rowe, his grandchildren Tristan, Rhys, and Leighton Rowe and siblings Kenneth (Shirley) Beitzel and Nancy Beitzel. Larry has numerous nieces and nephews that live in Ohio and Maryland. He has lived in Aurora for the past 55 years and was a member of the Mantua Country Baptist Church where he served God faithfully. Larry was a retired truck driver for Yellow Freight and he was a veteran of the US Marine Corp. Larry enjoyed the outdoors. His best times were spent in the woods with his nephew Wayne, who was more like a son, and his best friend Guy (Jake who Larry liked to call him). Larry has passed on his love for the outdoors to his grandson Rhys. Larry enjoyed fishing and he was always well known for having an immaculate garden. Larry loved his family with his whole heart and his most loved treasures were his three grandchildren. In honoring his wishes cremation has taken place and a celebration of life service will be held at Corners Catering & Event Center 11845 St Rt 44 Mantua, Ohio on Sunday, September 21, 2025 from 2 to 5 PM.  A private family inurnment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made directly to the family to assist with expenses during this difficult time.
