Larry A. Porter

Heaven gained an angel in the passing of Larry A. Porter 64 of Ravenna on August 31, 2021 at UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna. He was born January 2, 1957 in Warren, Ohio to Carl and Juanita (Clemens) Beighley-Porter, Jr. Larry was a dedicated family man and well known for his unbelievable talents in carpentry, landscaping and his ability to grow anything. He loved trains and was an avid collector. He worked for (Joy Global) Komatsu in Solon and was loved by many. Survivors include his wife Cynthia, children Shannon (Jared) Furrie, Shane Porter and Ryan (Tracey) Rader, 6 grandchildren and is survived by his sister Beverly (Albert) Soccia. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at the Ravenna Assembly of God, 6401 State Route 14 in Ravenna with Pastor Gary Beck officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
