Laura Irene Troyer, 81 of Kent passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at the Gardens of
Western Reserve
in
Cuyahoga Falls
. She was born January 30, 1930 in Ravenna to the late William F. and Dora (Neill) Walters. Laura was a member of the First Untied Methodist Church of Ravenna, and worked at Kroger's Grocery Store until she retired. Survivors include her step-daughter Sandy Canupp of Kent, step-son, Bob Troyer of Chicago, IL, sister, Ruby J. Walters of Ravenna, brother, Robert Boyd "Bucky" (Gladys) Walters of Ravenna, grandchildren, Scott Canupp, Teri Peasley, great grandchildren, Abbey Canupp, Alex Canupp, Kyle Katz, Kelsey Katz, and numerous
nieces and nephews
. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Loris Troyer, sisters, Verla (Paul) Truza, Edna (Bill) Fleshman, Sara Walters, Virginia Gifford, bothers, Harley and William Walters Jr. Funeral Service will be held at
2:00 PM Saturday, February 5, 2011
with
Rev. Vernon White
officiating at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Calling hours will be held from 1:00 PM till time of the service. Burial will be in
Maple Grove Cemetery
at a later date.
