Lewis D. Brown, 74, of Garfield Heights, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, while in hospice care on Friday, February 7, 2025. He was born on July 27, 1950, in Marsh Fork, WV, to the late Lewis Jr. and Theresa Jane (Scisson) Brown. Lewis was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, a member of the Gospel House in Walton Hills, and worked as both an electrician and a mechanic. He was a proud supporter of Wounded Warrior Project and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Zern); his children, Jennifer Rosalyn Brown, Dana Catherine Brown, and Sarah Marie (Kyle) Brown-Toth; his grandchildren, Ayden Lewis Brown and Emelia Bracken; and his siblings, William, Beverly, Venetta, and Lena (Rich) Liuzzo. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Barry and Gregory. Calling hours will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home, 141 N. Meridian Street, Ravenna, Ohio 44266. Funeral services will take place at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 14, 2025, at the funeral home with Pastor Bob Sepkovich officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna.
