Lewis "Cork" Shafer

Lewis (Cork) Shafer, 88, of Ravenna. passed away at UH Portage Medical Center surrounded by his family on September 4, 2018.  He was born on May 21, 1930.  He retired from Ford Motor Company in Walton Hills.  Also, he drove trucks for Gallagher Lumber Company in Mantua.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Marie.  He is survived by his daughter, Betty. His son, Carl.  His grandchildren, Rachel, Jim and also his great grandson Ben.  Private family burial services were held at Grandview Memorial Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio.  Condolences and memories of Lewis  "Cork" may be shared with his family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
