Lila G. (Palmer) Taylor

Lila G. Taylor 100 of Ravenna died Monday, October 1, 2012. She was born February 10, 1912 in Brimfield, Ohio to Frank and Susan (Dean) Palmer. Lila was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ravenna and the Junior Tuesday Literary Club. She graduated from Kent State University School and attended Kent State University. She worked as a secretary for Davey Tree and Twin Coach in Kent. Survivors include her nieces Kay Fankhauser, Becky Palmer and Shari Taylor, nephews Bill Langell, Richard Palmer, Rick Taylor, Bruce Taylor and Dick Wigton, several great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews and a sister in law Shirley Taylor. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Donald in 1981, sisters Winifred Langell and Alice Wigton and a brother Richard Palmer. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel with Reverend Vernon White officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service from 10 AM to 11 AM. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna. In lieu of flowers memorials  should be made to the First United Methodist Church in Ravenna, 263 S. Prospect Street, Ravenna, OH 44266. The family would like to thank Brookside Assisted Living and the Woodlands at Robinson for their care & friendliness.
