Lisa Bica, 49, of Ravenna, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2013. She was born on August 15, 1963 in Garfield Heights, a daughter of, Edward and Marian Stemnock. A 1981 graduate of Crestwood High School, Lisa attended Maplewood JVS, allowing her a 30 plus year career as a typographer for Dennison Advertising. Lisa also helped her husband with his business, Steve's Plumbing, with her bookkeeping and accounting skills. She was a devoted wife and mother who didn't ask her daughter "if" she was going to college, but "where" she was going, Lisa's one true great passion in life was her daughter, Katie. Lisa developed Katie's character to be strong, resilient, and kind. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Steve Bica; daughter, Katie Bica; her parents; brothers, J. Edward (Nancy) Stemnock and Robert (Lisa) Stemnock; and sister, Bernardine Hardway. Lisa was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond in 1969. A private person who touched many lives and warmed many hearts, she will be greatly missed not only by her family and friends, but by Charlie and Angie, her loving pets. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4-7 PM at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home, Ravenna Chapel, where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna.
