Lois M. (Rosenhoover) Sarver

Lois M. Sarver, 89 of Shalersville, passed away Sunday September 8, 2019 at her home, with her family by her side.  She was born June 26, 1930 in Warren, PA. to the late John H. and Iva E. (Caspersen) Rosenhoover.  Lois has lived in Shalersville the past 12 years and was formerly of Streetsboro and Pittsburgh, PA.  She had worked as a practical nurse for several area Pittsburgh hospitals and also was a private duty nurse.  She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Streetsboro and enjoyed baking cookies.  Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Christine (Ron) Sterner, Sr of Shalersville, Roberta (Jamie) Nolan, of Verona, PA, John (Myra) Sarver of Maggie Valley, NC. Mary Brundage of Azle, TX., many grandchildren, great grandchildren, several great  great grandchildren and her brother John Rosenhoover.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert D. Sarver on January 3,  2002, her son Jan Sarver, her great grandson Brian Nowikowski and sister Jeannie Rosenhoover. Calling hours will be Wednesday September 11, 2019  from 4 pm until time of services at 6 PM with her son in law Deacon Ron Sterner officiating at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Streetsboro Chapel.  Committal services will be 12 Noon on Thursday  September 12, 2019 at Hebron United Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Pittsburgh, PA.  The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial donations please be made to Evangelism Explosion Ministries  C/O Faith Baptist Church 9890 St Rt 43 Streetsboro, Ohio 44241.  A special thank you to Southern Healthcare and hospice, especially Chaplain Karen, nurse Sarah, and home care providers Tiesha and Deb.  Thanks to Visiting Physicians of Akron, especially Lucy and Levi."  Condolences and memories of Lois may be shared with her family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
