Lorena W (Cumpson) Denning

Lorena W. Denning 79 of Ravenna passed away Friday, November 11, 2011 at The Woodlands at Robinson.  She was born April 11, 1932 in Ravenna to the late Arthur and Ora Cumpson.  She was a lifelong resident of Portage County. A member of the Church of Christ in Ravenna, a Volunteer for P.A.S.S.  and a member of the Society for the Blind.  Lorena enjoyed bowling and helping others.  She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Lee (Bruce) Jones of Ravenna, Idamae Denning of Ravenna, Bill Denning of Middlefield, Don Denning of Cuyahoga Falls, sister, Irene (Bob) Derr of Ravenna, step-mother, Claira Cumpson of Ravenna, 8 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.  Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Billie M. Denning and a brother Bud Cumpson.  A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at the Church of Christ, 3897 Summit Rd Ravenna, with Rev. Terry Smith officiating.  Burial will be held at a later date in Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent.  Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral  Home Ravenna Chapel is handling the arrangements.
