Loretta A. (Anderson) Mccartney

Loretta A. McCartney, age 79, of Shalersville passed away on June 15, 2017. Per Loretta’s request, there will be no calling hours. A cremation has taken place, and the family will have a private burial. Any memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. Loretta was a hospice volunteer for many years, also she volunteered at Robinson Memorial ER. She also supported the Streetsboro Christian Cupboard, rang bells for the Salvation Army, and worked with Senior Companion Program to help keep seniors in their homes. She worked for 35 years with her husband, who owned and operated McCartney Appliance Service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theron McCartney in 1993. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter Stacey and grandson Jonathan. Loretta is survived by her children Randy (Dibby), Steven (Becky), Mike (Lisa), Kathy (Phil). Her memory is cherished by her 7 grandchildren, and by her 3 great-grandchildren. Loretta was a member of St. Joseph Church in Mantua for many years. Her life was a service to others.
